The staff is pretty stable, it's the principal who's coming unhinged. Not her fault (entirely), she was born into the business, so to say.

That last panel reminds me of Prince John from Disney's version of "Robin Hood", wherein he would have a near mental breakdown every time Sir Hiss mentioned his mother.

Daddy issues indeed

I have met a few students with Daddy-issues before, but nothing approaching catatonia, and not in the faculty. In my experience, the bad teachers are just in it for the pay-cheque and benefits package, not revenge. I think we have to very careful with this near-immortal, especially if she shuts down when she thinks about her father.

Yeah, her being a teacher for starters wasn't by choice but because her father kind of foisted it upon her, of course. That's the least of the things she's had to deal with regarding her father, sadly.
